Quad9 experienced a denial-of-service attack against our ECS service address today. The attack started around 2024/4/4 22:45 UTC and lasted until 01:50 UTC, with some US and Australian cities having slow performance or no availability during that window on the ECS-enabled service address. The ECS service is less than 3% of our total daily traffic. We will work on creating more redundant solutions for our ECS service address. Other service addresses were unaffected.
